Miscellaneous Packages |

I'm not seriously suggesting that you're interested in the packages I have set up. This list is a reminder for me in case something drastic happens to the computer. Feel free to read, but a lot of these pages are more as reminders to me.

To be able to do what I wanted with Sudo, I had to alter the
file /etc/sudoers
file to include mj ALL=(ALL) ALL
.
This allows me as a normal user to run commands as root. To edit the
file, you should use visudo
.
In order to run this program correctly, you should add the user
wanting to start dialup to the dip
group. This can
be done by: adduser userid dip
. You will also need
to change the provider. Additionally I changed mine so that they
used pon
and poff
.
